SIMULARITIES
Simularities in fuedal japan and europe is the Samurais and the knights are both high ranked as they fight for there region, they both use swords when fighting and also ride horses, they both wear protective armour when fighting, the european being mainly metal as their armour but the japanese using laquered leather or silk.
Japanese and European built castles for their warlords to live in to protect them when there is enemies trying to break in.
DIFFERENCES
How they seperated their land was a major difference in the fuedilism of Europe and Japan. The european knights earned their land by fighting in battles and had control of the peasants that also lived in their land. The japanese Samurais did not own any land, the Daimyo paid them from the peasants taxes which was usually rice.
